Martin Hála is a leading Czech sinologist and senior member of the project team, will provide his expertise on China’s influence activities. He studied in Prague, Shanghai, Berkeley and Harvard, and conducted research in China, Taiwan, and the U.S. He has worked for several media-assistance organizations in Europe and Asia, and published extensively on Chinese activities in the Czech media.
