Daniel Heler is a researcher within the Western Balkans at the Crossroads project and held the position of a project coordinator from October 2019 to March 2020. His professional interests include modern history, politics and anthropology as well as international relations and security in broader Eastern Europe. Daniel has been a collaborator on various scientific projects and conducted extensive field research across the Balkans. He is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Belgrade University and formerly at the Institute of International Studies, Charles University.
Daniel holds a Master’s degree in Balkan, Eurasian and Central European Studies from the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague. He also had the opportunity to study at the UCL SSEES in London, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje and Saint Petersburg University.
